Today marks a special day at Hambden Fire Department as we welcome back Firefighter Alex Reed for his first shift after bravely battling B-Cell Lymphoma.
Six months ago, Alex was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma and faced an intense fight with four rounds of chemotherapy. His strength and determination paid off, and we are thrilled to share that he is now cancer-free and back where he belongs—serving the community!
A Special Welcome Back Lunch
To make the day even more special, Dave from Hambden Tire and an anonymous citizen from Chesterland Giant Eagle generously covered the cost of our welcome-back lunch. Moments like these remind us just how much our community supports us, and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Thank You for Your Support!
To everyone who offered thoughts, prayers, and kind words during Alex’s journey—thank you. Your support meant the world to Alex and our entire department.
🚒💙 We LOVE you all! #CommunityStrong
