Bio & Certifications

A.C. Peterson began his journey with the Hambden Fire Department in 2000 as part of the Explorers Program, becoming a full-fledged member in 2003. He holds certifications as a Firefighter II, Paramedic, Fire Inspector, Fire Investigator, and Fire Instructor. Additionally, he is certified as a CPR Instructor through the American Heart Association, a Stop the Bleed Instructor, and a Hazardous Materials Technician. His advanced training includes Fire Officer IV, Juvenile Firesetter Intervention, Tactical Emergency Medical Services (TEMS), and Blue Card Incident Command.

A.C. Peterson is an active member of both the Geauga County Fire Investigation Unit and the Geauga County Hazardous Materials Team. He has been credentialed as an Ohio Fire Officer by the Ohio Fire Chiefs Association and earned an Associate Degree in Fire Science from Eastern Gateway Community College.

Currently, A.C. Peterson serves full-time as a Lieutenant with the Beachwood Fire Department, where he also functions as a Fire Investigator and SWAT Medic. In addition, he works part-time as an emergency dispatcher for the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office.
