Firefighter Varner re-joined Hambden Fire Department in 2023. He previously served in Hambden from 2012-2013. He has his Firefighter II and Advanced EMT training. He also completed Fire Officer I and II classes and is currently taking a Paramedic class through University Hospitals.
Adam has previously served at the Morgan Hose Fire Department, the Windsor Fire Department, and South-Central Ambulance District and Johnston Fire Department. He currently works full-time for University Hospitals. Public safety runs in the family as Adam’s father and brother are both involved in fire and EMS and his wife Kelly served with the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office.
Adam serves as a Trustee for the department.
Adam lives in New Lyme Twp with his wife Kelly and daughter Zinovy on their family farm.
