Explore. Train. Serve. – Join Hambden Fire Explorers Today!
Hambden Fire Department’s Explorers Post 360 is part of the Exploring program, a division of the Boy Scouts of America. This program provides students ages 14 to 21 with hands-on opportunities to explore a profession, giving them real-world experience in the fire service.
Since its founding in January 2000, Post 360 has helped young men and women develop skills and leadership abilities while gaining insight into the day-to-day operations of a fire department. Explorers participate in many of the same trainings as Hambden’s firefighters and EMTs, covering topics such as fire suppression, rescue techniques, and emergency medical care.
Training sessions are held every Thursday night from 7 to 9 PM, providing consistent opportunities for growth, mentorship, and teamwork. This program is an excellent way for aspiring firefighters and emergency responders to learn the profession, gain valuable experience, and build confidence in a supportive environment.
